Beef and Veggie Patties

Beef and Veggie Patties + kids drawing comp!

Kylie has special guest Victoria from The Root Cause in the kitchen making some delicious Beef and Veggie Patties just in time for Australia Day and the return of school. They will be the perfect addition to school lunches for your little ones and have the sneaky veggies included to boost their nutritional intake throughout the day. Using our fan fave Quick Oats and our Oat Flour which will be available soon!

Ingredients
  • 500g Mince
  • ½ cup Oat Flour ( look out for our new Oat Flour coming soon, or make your own using our oats. Click here to find out how)
  • ½ cup GF Oats Quick Oats
  • 1 cup Grated Carrot
  • 1 cup Grated Zucchini
  • 1 tsp Mixed herbs
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Olive oil
  • Sliced Tomato
  • Sliced Cucumber
  • Cut up Lettuce
  • Pita pockets, tortillas or bread rolls.
Method
  1. Combine mince, oat flour, oats, carrot, zucchini, mixed herbs, salt and pepper and bind together using your hands. Roll into balls or patties into preferred size.
  2. Heat olive oil in a frypan and cook the balls/patties. Or heat your oven to 180degrees and cook for approx. 45 mins or until cooked.
  3. Serve with your fave salad and sauce and add to your children’s lunches for a healthy lunchbox snack.
