Breakfast Apple and Cinnamon Porridge

Try our Breakfast Apple and Cinnamon Porridge for a delicious and quick, healthy breakfast recipe.
I love using Granny Smith Apples in cooking and this recipe is great for those rushed, cold mornings. Using our own Gloriously Free Oats and other healthy ingredients make for the perfect breakfast.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of GF Oats

1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

1 cup of liquid water or milk option

1/4 cup sultanas 

1/2 cup of stewed or fresh apple

1 cup of liquid water or milk option

Method:

Soak your oats in the pot overnight. Place additional ingredients into a pot on the stove and cook for about 5 minutes. You can microwave but just don't tell me as you are destroying some of the nutritional value by cooking using this process.

Note: If you are a bit sensitive in the tummy please try soaking your oats overnight. As this will release the phytic acid from the oats and make them much easier to digest and faster to cook as well if mornings are a hurry. Check out the article ‚Why Soak your Oats
