How to make Oat Milk Pancakes

Whether you’re strapped for time for breakfast, aka the most important meal of the day or you want to try something new for brunch this Sunday that’s dairy-free or uses an alternative to dairy, we’ve got a fun pancake recipe for you! Whoever said they didn’t like pancakes, obviously lied because they have to try Oat Milk pancakes which takes delicious and are certainly healthier for you.

Oat Milk is a great alternative to cow’s milk, not just for vegan or plant-based diet enthusiasts but for its a great many benefits. One of them is that it’s so rich in fibre, it has more fibre than cow’s milk and although some might not like that it does have more carbs, the carbohydrate content in oat milk combined with fibre means you’ll be fuller for longer. These pancakes will certainly fill you up until lunch or dinner, whenever you have them.

This pancake recipe is super easy, which means you will be able to whip these up in as little time as possible, a perfect recipe for someone on the go or with little time in the morning. Our founder Kylie loves to use the GF Oats Traditional Oats along with some homemade oat milk (using GF Oats Quick Oats) to make these yummy pancakes everyone will want to get their hands on! INGREDIENTS:

Toppings –

  • Crunchy Granola (find the recipe here)
  • Yogurt
  • GF Oats Pure gluten free Honey

METHOD:

  1. Add Buckwheat pancake mix into a bowl, add oat flour (recipe to make oat flour here) and mix together.
  2. Add Oat milk (recipe to make oat milk here) and mix together well.
  3. Add sweetener if desired. Combine.
  4. Add Coconut oil or butter to the pan.
  5. Pour batter into pan.
  6. Once the pancakes start forming bubbles, it’s time to flip them over and cook on the other side. Once they are golden they are ready.

Plate the pancakes up with some Crunchy Granola and some yogurt of choice. Top with sweetener and enjoy!
