Jordans Breakfast Smoothie | GF Oats

Jordan’s Breakfast Smoothie

Jordan’s Breakfast Smoothie offers a great option for a quick breakfast smoothie for people on the go. Smoothies are one of the easiest, fastest and healthiest breakfasts that you can literally throw together and blend to consume on the go. Oat smoothies are also great for a snack or post-meal dessert if you prefer to make smoothies a little sweeter. This recipe, in particular, has a slight sweetness with the mix of honey and banana, its combination with our very own GF oats means this smoothie is healthy, filling and should power you with great nutrients for a few hours to get started with your day.

  • 1 can organic coconut milk
  • 1 small banana
  • ⅓  cup GF Oats
  • 2 tablespoons LSA Mix (Linseeds, Sunflower seeds and Almonds)
  • 1 tablespoon Gluten Free honey
  • water or milk of your choice

  • Place all ingredients in a blender and add a little water or rice milk slowly until the smoothie consistency you would like is reached
  • Serve immediately in a tall glass
  • Experiment with a selection of your favourite fruits such as berries, figs and mango.

The best thing about breakfast smoothies is that you can experiment with different ingredients and maintain the consistency of a great smoothie while experiencing different flavours. Fruits with strong flavours such as mango and berries add more complex flavours to the existing smoothie and also add to the list of nutrients and healthy vitamins and minerals that are great for your body! LSA Mix is an ingredient you might not see often in smoothie recipes but we think this is great as it gives you a boost of healthy fats in the form of omega 3, omega 6 and fibre, as well as a nice nutty flavour!

We hope you enjoy Jordyn’s breakfast smoothie as much as we do. It’s such an easy one to whip up in the morning on your way to school, work, the gym or other. Want to know more about GF Oats?
