Quick Easy Banana Smoothie

Nothing beats a nice, cold smoothie on a hot summer day and one of the easiest smoothies to go for is a banana smoothie! Banana smoothies are a great option to have as breakfast, a cold afternoon drink or even an evening dessert after dinner. Not only do these smoothies taste great but they’re very healthy and a perfect drink to grab with you whenever you want to have something filling while on the go. 

Banana smoothies are super healthy because bananas are some of the best fruits to consume, especially for breakfast! They’re packed with potassium, magnesium and vitamin C, and if you include greek yoghurt in the mix, it also has protein to keep you fuller for longer and fuel muscle gains if you like to spend time in the gym. 

We’ve tried to make our banana smoothie as healthy and easy as possible with simple, everyday ingredients for a healthy dose of goodness for your breakfast, snack or whenever you feel like a smoothie!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup GF Quick Oats
  • One ripe Banana
  • 1 Tablespoon of Natural Yoghurt
  • 1 Tablespoon of Honey
  • 1 Pinch of Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Cup Milk of your choice

Method

Chop Banana roughly
Combine all ingredients in a blender
Blend until smooth and creamy
Serve in your favourite smoothie jar

Garnish and Enjoy!

Yup, that’s it – we did say it was quick and easy. If this recipe is too simple for you, you can also get super creative and add more fruits, nuts or protein powder to this smoothie. Some of our favourite additions include apples, berries, peanut butter or mango!
