Spiced Biscuits - perfect for the festive season.

Cooking time: 12-15mins
Makes: Approx 12
180g mix

Who doesn’t love a good gingerbread biscuit at Christmas time? The problem, of course, is finding ones that are ‘free from’ all the things we must avoid on speciality diets.

This year Kylie has created a pre-mix that she believes has solved this ‘first-world problem’ we all have, of missing out on delicious spiced biscuits at Christmas.

Now, with the creation of Kylie’s Spiced Biscuit pre-mix, you can easily bake a supply of these delicious biscuits that are going to melt in your mouth.

Kylie is going to put it out there that the wheat eaters amongst us won’t even notice the difference!

This pre-mix only needs 2 extra ingredients along with your Christmas stamps or cookie cutters and you are all set to go.

Fun Fact:

Gingerbread has existed in some form since sugars and spices were brought back to Europe, by soldiers in the Crusades. However, it was not until Queen Victoria and Prince Albert included it with a variety of other German Christmas traditions that the gingerbread cookies became primarily associated with Christmas.

Also available: Santa biscuits premix

Since Covid 19 we have found that with the uptake of online shopping that freight companies have been under significant pressure in some areas to dispatch in a timely manner. We continue to work closely with our contacts to ensure the very best service we can for our customers, however, it is often out of our control.

Once your parcel leaves our GF Oats headquarters, we say a prayer, but after that, it is really out of our control. If you have any problems with your order please respectfully reach out to our team who will do their very best to track this item. It is our company policy that if conversations are not conducted in a respectful manner they will be forwarded to management.

Compliance - Why we are 'The Oats You Can Trust!'

    Open tab

    Our Commitment to you
It is important to us here at GK Gluten Free Foods that we provide Australian consumers with oats that are free from contamination from the gluten that is found in wheat, rye and barley.

To ensure that we are providing you with “The Oats You Can Trust” we partner with our approved network of Australian farmers who follow the Global Oats Protocol growing clean, uncontaminated oats. Their oats are uniquely grown using minimal impact growing techniques and crop exclusion zones, and are processed in facilities that are free from the contamination from the gluten found in wheat, rye, spelt and barley grains.

    Australian Labelling Laws
Current labelling laws in Australia and New Zealand restrict us from labelling any product that contains oats as gluten-free. Other countries around the world have different labelling laws that apply to uncontaminated oats.

    Testing
Each batch of oats is independently tested by Symbio in Brisbane. The gluten test from Symbio is reported as <3ppm as this is the level of quantification for their testing. They use the R-biopharm test kit for gluten, which uses an antigen-antibody reaction to determine gluten levels.  <3ppm effectively equates to ‘0’ or nil gluten detected.

Note: 2015 updates to the labelling laws now allow us to label GF Oats products as “Low Gluten”. Low Gluten simply means <20ppm which still doesn’t represent the purity of our product.

'Wheat free' Oats also does NOT represent the purity of our oats. As there is no formal definition of what 'Wheat free' means, it can be presumed that they are NOT free from Rye or Barley. We consider this to be a serious problem for customers.

    ANZAC Biscuits
It is a requirement of Veterans Affairs that any product that carries the word ANZAC for commercial purposes be approved. We are pleased to inform all our customers that we have done this. The letter of Approval received by Veterans Affairs can be viewed here.

    FAQ’S
We appreciate that customers have many questions regarding this product and the branding as it can be confusing when we are unable to completely communicate the true representation of these oats due to labelling restrictions.

These cookies were SO DELICIOUS! I made them with my 4 year old and did a double batch, we didn't wait for them to chill (as it's so cold here atm) and we didn't use cutters, we just rolled up balls and then flattened them and made pretty designs on them with forks - I will definitely buy more! Thanks guys

The recipe came together so easily, the mixture and finished product was perfectly balanced (the icing was not necessary, I felt) They were short like Shortbread, Santa wouldn't get any, because the cook would definitely devour them all. Honestly Kylie, there's no GF Flour after-taste and maybe it's the butter, but bloody Oats, they were fantastic.
