Cinnamon & Honey Porridge

1. Classic Cinnamon and Honey Porridge

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk or water
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • A pinch of salt


Instructions:

  1. In a pot, bring the milk or water to a boil with the Oats.
  2. Add the cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in honey, and serve.
  5. Optional - top with fuit & nuts of choice

 

 

Banana Nut Porridge

2. Banana Nut Porridge

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • 2 tbsp chopped walnuts
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt


Instructions:

  1. In a pot, bring the Oats and almond milk to a boil.
  2. Add mashed banana, and salt.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and top with walnuts before serving.
  5. Optional - top with extra banana and nut butter

 

3. Berry Bliss Porridge

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk or water
  • 1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup
  • A pinch of salt


Instructions:

  1. In a pot, bring the oats and milk or water to a boil.
  2. Add the berries, chia seeds, and salt.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in maple syrup, and serve.

 

Apple Pie Porridge

4. Apple Pie Porridge

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups apple juice
  • 1 apple, chopped
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp raisins


Instructions:

  1. In a pot, bring the oats and apple juice to a boil.
  2. Add the chopped apple, cinnamon, nutmeg, and raisins.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Serve warm.

 

Tropical Porridge

5. Tropical Coconut Porridge

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup diced pineapple
  • 1/4 cup diced mango
  • 2 tbsp shredded coconut
  • 1 tbsp honey


Instructions:

  1. In a pot, bring the oats, coconut milk and water to a boil.
  2. Add the diced pineapple.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in honey, mango and shredded coconut, and serve.

 

6. Peanut Butter and Banana Porridge

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk or water
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 ripe banana, sliced
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions:

  1. In a pot, bring the oats milk or water to a boil.
  2. Reduce heats and stir in the peanut butter and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract, and top with banana slices before serving.

 

7. Choco-Berry Porridge

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk or water
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 cup mixed berries
  • 1-2 tbsp honey or maple syrup


Instructions:

  1. In a pot, bring the oats and milk or water to a boil.
  2. Add the cocoa powder.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in the sweetener and berries before serving.

 

Spiced Pumpkin

8. Spiced Pumpkin Porridge

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk or water
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp star anise
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup


Instructions:

  1. In a pot, bring the oats and milk or water to a boil.
  2. Add the pumpkin puree, and spices.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in the maple syrup and serve.

 

Vanilla Almond

9. Vanilla Almond Porridge

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp sliced almonds
  • 1-2 tbsp honey


Instructions:

  1. In a pot, bring the oats and almond milk to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract, and top with sliced almonds and honey before serving.
  4. Optional - top with seasonal fruit

 

10. Savory Spinach and Feta Porridge

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • A pinch of salt


Instructions:

  1. In a pot, bring the oats and vegetable broth to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat and stir in the spinach and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat, stir in feta cheese and black pepper, and serve.
