Legacy is an organisation dedicated to supporting the families of veterans who have given their lives for their country. By aligning with Legacy, GF Oats demonstrates a commitment to honouring the sacrifice of those who served and ensuring their families receive the care and support they deserve.

GF Oats is all about helping folks in any way we can, and teaming up with Legacy is just the start. Every time you grab a pack of our Anzac biscuits, you're doing more than just treating yourself to something yummy. You're also lending a hand to the important work Legacy does for veterans' families. It's our way of showing we care, not just about making great food, but about making a real difference too.

Through this partnership, GF Oats invites its customers to be part of a community that celebrates heritage and contributes to a brighter future. A portion of our proceeds is donated to Legacy. Every purchase of our Legacy bundle donates 5% as well. Help us reach our goal of $25000 in donations this year.

Why Are They Called Anzac Biscuits?

Anzac biscuits are named after the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC), which was established during World War I. These biscuits were originally made by the loved ones of soldiers who were fighting abroad and sent to them because the ingredients used didn't spoil easily and could withstand the long journey overseas. Our biscuits come in pre-approved packaging with this naming. The classic ingredients include oats, sugar, flour, coconut, butter (or margarine), golden syrup, baking soda, and boiling water. Currently, we've perfected a delicious recipe with ingredients like low gluten flour mix, tapioca starch, rice flour, potato starch, steamed rolled Aussie GF Oats, coconut sugar, desiccated coconut and coconut oil.

The biscuits became a significant part of the ANZAC legacy, symbolising the homefront's effort to provide support and comfort to the soldiers. Over time, Anzac biscuits have become a traditional treat in Australia and New Zealand, particularly commemorated on Anzac Day, April 25th.

Are Anzac Biscuits Healthy?

Anzac biscuits can be a healthier choice when consumed in moderation compared to many cookies and sugar-filled treats. This is mainly because our Anzac biscuits are made with oats, which are rich in fibre, vitamins, and minerals.

Are Anzac Biscuits Gluten-Free?

GF Oats Anzac biscuits are crafted with ingredients tailored for those seeking a low-gluten option. Using a mix of tapioca starch, rice flour, potato starch, and specially processed rolled oats, these biscuits are designed to lower gluten content without compromising on taste.

With the addition of organic coconut sugar, desiccated coconut, coconut oil, and rice malt syrup, these biscuits offer a delicious, more inclusive alternative for those managing their gluten intake or looking for a healthier version of the traditional Anzac biscuit.
