This recipe makes a healthy oat and cauliflower pizza base.
Are you looking for a healthy alternative to your pizza base? Here's a pizza base recipe that combines cauliflower with our very own GF Oats. Did you try this at home? Let us know how it went.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup of GF Oat Flour (ground oats)
- 1 medium size cauliflower
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup of pizza cheese mix (optional)
- Salt/pepper and any seasons you like
Method:
Blend your cauliflower in a food processor or Thermomix until it is like a crumble mixture.
Add to a steamer or a pot with a little water and steam until soft.
Pour into a colander and leave to drain for a minute, press as much liquid as you can out of it.
Pour into a large mixing bowl and add lightly blended eggs, cheese, oat flour and seasonings of choice.
Mix all ingredients together and then spoon portions onto a tray lined with baking paper. Make the pizza bases to whatever size you want. I like individual pizza sizes the best.
Bake in a moderate oven for 20 minutes or until just golden brown.
Take bases out of the oven and add your preferred toppings. Pop back into the oven for a further 10 to 20 mins and they are ready to go.
Delicious.
