If you thought our new biscuits were delicious, you're going to love these.
INGREDIENTS:
- ANZAC biscuit Pre-Mix
-
100g golden syrup
-
125g butter or 80g Nuttlex
-
1 Tbsp water
-
Jam of choice
METHOD
1. Heat oven to 160c and line 2-3 baking trays with baking paper.
2. Place all the pre-mix in a large mixing bowl.
3. Place the remaining ingredients into a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally until butter is melted. Remove from the heat. (Or 2 mins in the microwave).
4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until well combined. The dough should form a ball when rolled into palm. If needed, you can add some extra water, 1 teaspoon at a time
Roll a tblsp. of dough at a time into balls. Placing about 5cm apart on the baking tray.
5. Poke a hole in the centre of each ball (you can use the end of a knife), and add a small amount of jam onto the top.
6. Bake for 12-15 minutes. If you like your ANZAC's crunchy, you can continue to cook them for a further 5 minutes.
