How to Cook GF Oats?

From Seed to Plate

At GF Oats, our journey begins in the stunning fields dedicated to oats in Western
Australia, where our farmers follow the Global Oats Purity growing protocol.
Hi, I’m Kylie, proud founder of GF Oats Australia! Since 2009, I’ve been oat-erly
passionate about bringing you pure, uncontaminated oats—now T-oat-ally Aussie-
grown.
Using our own seed stock, we plant in winter and harvest sun-dried oats in summer.
These beautiful oats are then steamed and rolled in our dedicated facilities to ensure
they’re free from gluten contamination from wheat, rye or barley.  Every batch is
tested.
My mission? To provide families like mine with nutritious, allergen-friendly oats you
can trust—perfect for breakfast, snacks, or anything in between. With GF Oats,
you're choosing healthy, pure oats grown right here on Aussie soil!

How to Cook Oats

Whether you are a beginner at cooking oats or looking at ways others may be cooking them because you wish to experiment or refine your routine, we would love to share with you our tips on how to cook oats. At GF Oats, we believe we have mastered the art of doing so, if we do say so ourselves!

Cooking with Gloriously Free Oats is very quick and easy. We have worked with our growers at Avena Mills in Western Australia to produce a steamed and rolled oat that is soft and absorbs moisture easily. These oats are free from any gluten contamination from wheat, rye and barley. Not only will these oats taste great but they will appease everyone including those with food intolerances.

You can take your pick of any of the oats in our GF Oats range, however, we prefer to make porridge from the whole steamed rolled oats If you are cooking for children or the aged the Quick Oats is easier for the pallet.

Cooking Instructions
For a creamier, smoother porridge, soak your oats overnight to break down natural phytates.

  1. Combine 1/2 cup GF Oats and 1 cup water or milk in a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil, then simmer on low for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until you reach your desired consistency. Add additional liquid if required.
  3. Top with extra milk, fresh fruit, nuts, or honey and serve!

Microwave

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, mix 1/2 cup GF Oats with 1 cup water or milk.
  2. Microwave on high for 2-3 minutes, stirring halfway through
  3. Let sit for 1 minute, then add your favourite toppings and enjoy!

Tip: Adjust liquid for a thicker or creamier porridge.
