Show your heart a little love with this Heart-Healthy Oat Bowl.
Packed with cholesterol-lowering oats, antioxidant-rich berries, and omega-3 loaded walnuts, it’s a brekkie your heart will thank you for.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup GF Oats rolled oats
- 2 cups water (or unsweetened almond milk for creaminess)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseed (extra omega-3s)
- ½ cup fresh or frozen blueberries (antioxidants for heart health)
- ½ cup sliced strawberries or fresh raspberries
- 2 tbsp walnuts, roughly chopped (good fats for the heart)
- 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds (zinc + magnesium)
- Drizzle of GF Oats Honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
METHOD
- In a small saucepan, bring water (or almond milk) to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in oats and cinnamon, then cook over medium heat for 5–7 minutes until creamy.
- Remove from heat, stir through flaxseed and half the blueberries.
- Divide into bowls and top with strawberries, remaining blueberries, walnuts, and pumpkin seeds.
- Add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup if desired.
